Psalm 70 is a brief, urgent prayer in which David asks God to quickly deliver him from his enemies and those who seek to harm him. He calls for justice against the wicked while asking that those who seek God would rejoice and magnify Him. The psalm ends with a humble plea for God’s help, acknowledging dependence on Him alone.

It’s okay to come to God with urgency and honesty when you’re overwhelmed or in need. Even in distress, we can choose to focus on God’s greatness and trust that He is our help and rescuer.
