Proverbs 5 warns against sexual immorality and describes the devastating consequences that can come from pursuing temporary pleasure outside God’s design. The chapter urges people to recognize that sinful temptation may initially appear attractive but eventually produces bitterness, regret, and destruction. Instead, God calls husbands and wives to faithfulness and to find joy and satisfaction within marriage.

Temptation often advertises the pleasure while hiding the consequences, so wisdom learns to look beyond the moment. Protecting purity requires establishing boundaries before temptation comes rather than trusting ourselves to make the right decision in the heat of the moment.
