That night the king could not sleep and ordered the royal records to be read, discovering that Mordecai had never been rewarded for uncovering the assassination plot. In an ironic reversal, Haman arrived intending to request Mordecai’s execution but instead was ordered to publicly honor Mordecai throughout the city. God’s unseen providence turned the entire direction of events without Esther or Mordecai controlling any of it.

God is working even in the details that seem random or insignificant to us. Esther 6 reminds us that delays are not always denials—sometimes God is arranging circumstances behind the scenes in ways we could never orchestrate ourselves.
