The apostle Paul and his companions traveled to Thessalonica, Berea, and Athens to share the message of Christ. “Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. As a result, many of them believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men.” The noble character of the Berean believers was evident in their eager reception of God’s Word and careful examination of the gospel message. May we also practice receiving God’s Word daily and devote ourselves to faithful study, so that our faith may deepen.
