After Solomon finishes praying, fire comes down from heaven and fills the temple with God’s glory, showing His approval. God appears to Solomon and promises that if His people humble themselves, pray, and turn from their sin, He will forgive and restore them. He also warns that turning away from Him will lead to judgment and the temple becoming a sign of ruin.

God desires genuine humility and repentance, not just outward worship. When we turn back to Him sincerely, He is ready to forgive and restore.
