One of the greatest obstacles to growth in our walk with God is believing we have all the answers. Proverbs reminds us that being wise in our own eyes can be more dangerous than foolishness itself (v. 12).
Godly wisdom begins with humility of heart. Throughout this chapter, we see how foolishness reveals itself through quarrels, gossip, laziness, and careless words (v.21-23) . These behaviors often create unnecessary difficulties in our lives and relationships.
Yet humility invites us to listen rather than argue, seek understanding rather than assume, and receive correction rather than resist it. God's wisdom helps us recognize the attitudes and behaviors that need to change.
How can I humble myself before the Lord today, asking for His wisdom in my daily life?
