Job acknowledges God's overwhelming greatness, wisdom, and power, recognizing that no one can successfully argue their case before Him. He wrestles with the reality that God is perfectly just while also feeling that no ordinary person could stand before such a holy Judge to plead their innocence. Job longs for someone who could stand between himself and God as a mediator.

This chapter quietly points forward to Jesus Christ, the perfect Mediator who bridges the gap between holy God and sinful humanity. What Job longed for in his suffering, believers now have through Christ, who invites us to approach God with confidence.
