As part of the Temple organization, temple officers are appointed. These officials included gatekeepers (vv.1-19), treasurers (vv. 20-28), and miscellaneous officials scattered outside Jerusalem (vv. 29-32).

Even the roles that seem ordinary—like gatekeepers and treasurers—are shown to be purposeful and entrusted by God, reminding us that every responsibility matters in His kingdom. When we serve faithfully in whatever place we are assigned, we honor God just as much as those in more visible roles.
