21 days of prayer -- DAYS 15-21

21 Days of Guided Prayer

Daily Scripture Readings (ESV)

January 4–24, 2026

As we begin a new year, we begin with prayer.  This isn’t because prayer is a religious obligation, but prayer is how we communicate with God. Before goals are made, before plans are finalized, before the year gathers momentum, we pause to place ourselves again in the presence of the Lord.

These 21 days are an invitation, not a demand. An invitation to slow down, to listen, to be renewed, and to realign our hearts with God. You do not need special words. You do not need to pray for long periods of time. You simply need to show up and take a few moments.

Each day we will use a simple rhythm: P.R.A.Y.

Pause. Reflect & Rejoice. Ask. Yield.

This rhythm reminds us that prayer is not about getting through a list, but about being with God. As we pause, we remember that God is already here. As we reflect and rejoice, we are reminded of who God is and what He has done. As we ask, we bring our needs honestly before Him. And as we yield, we place our lives again into His loving hands.

Some days prayer will feel easy and other days it may feel dry, distracted and possibly difficult. Yet, that is truly normal. Faithfulness matters more than feelings. If you miss a day, do not be discouraged. Simply begin again. God is never impatient with us.

My prayer is that over these 21 days, prayer becomes less of a task and more of a relationship. That we learn again how to listen. That we find rest for our souls. And that we enter this year rooted, renewed, and ready for all God has ahead.

Let’s begin together.

Day 15 – Sent by Jesus

Matthew 28:19 (ESV)

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.”

God sends His people into the world with purpose, to serve others and make disciples as we go. We are invited to participate in what God is already doing. Our lives become witnesses of His grace.

Day 16 – Loving Others Well

Luke 10:33 (ESV)

“When he saw him, he had compassion.”

Compassion reflects the heart of God and moves us toward others. God’s love flows through simple acts of kindness, encouragement, and care. As we love others, we reflect the heart of Christ.

Day 17 – One Body

Ephesians 4:3 (ESV)

“Eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

Unity is a gift worth protecting. God calls us to live with patience, grace, and peace toward one another. Through our unity, may the world see Christ among us.

Day 18 – Serving Like Jesus

Mark 10:45 (ESV)

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve.”

Jesus shows us that true greatness is found in serving one another. When we serve others, we follow His example. God uses willing hearts to bless many.

Day 19 – Trusting God’s Provision

Philippians 4:19 (ESV)

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

God knows our needs before we ask. Our trust grows as we place our concerns in His hands. He is faithful to provide in His perfect timing.

Day 20 – Living for What Lasts

Colossians 3:2 (ESV)

“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”

God invites us to live with an eternal perspective. When our minds are set on Christ, our priorities begin to change. What lasts becomes more important than what is temporary.

Day 21 – A Prayer of Commitment

Romans 11:36 (ESV)

“For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.”

All of life finds its meaning in God. As we conclude these days of prayer, we offer ourselves again to Him. Our lives, our future, and our hope belong to the Lord.
